I created Light’s Edge Studios to create striking, memorable, and creative images for my clients in North Carolina’s Research Triangle and to offer services and tutorials tailored to the needs of professional and hobbyist photographers. I draw from more than 20 years of experience making images that express my own vision as well as training in photojournalism from the University of Missouri School of Journalism.

I published a book of photographs of my college in 2006 and reprinted it in 2011. I’m originally from the Midwest and since 2010 I’ve called North Carolina my home, where I live with six dogs (my wife is a veterinarian). I love to travel and I’ve been to  44 of the 50 United States and five of the seven continent…and I desperately want to get to Madagascar. I have an obsession with my burr coffee grinder, and for two decades I’ve been on a pursuit for the perfect camera bag.
